There are three pockets on each side, each with an elastic cord to hold tools in place. Mesh pockets on both ends are big enough to hold water bottles, and can be cinched closed with cord locks. The interior is one large compartment, and there's an inside pocket with a hook-and-loop closure. It does what it says—keeps puddles out. However, I wish it had more internal pockets for small tools. Right now, everything just jumbles together. Good for big items, messy for small ones.
