Soil blocking has become increasingly popular since it was first introduced to the US in the 1970s, and understandably so—it's an eco-friendly and cost-effective way to start seeds or propagate from cuttings, and it helps prevent transplant shock. Our durable steel soil blocker makes (8) 2” blocks, consistent and with pre-formed seed recesses for easy sowing (product comes with 3 sets of dimplers for making said seed recesses). It couldn’t be easier to use; simply place the soil blocker into saturated potting mix, then press and release the spring-action handle to form the blocks.
